In our multi discipline classrooms, teachers work on helping students develop as a whole through mind, body and soul, and we welcome families from various backgrounds to be in an environment where they can express themselves freely.
We currently have a very warm and “family feel” in our school and pride ourselves in creating a professional and warm atmosphere for students, teachers and parents.
Our curriculum boasts an accredited music program, visual arts, yoga classes, healthy vegetarian meals, and academic excellence. These are just a few attributes that make our Montessori School unique.
The Private School's location is in the centre of the town of Russell in a historic building, previously known as the land registry office. It is large, bright and lovely to work in.

Our Vision is to cultivate good character, and happy, healthy, open-minded children in an encouraging and loving environment starting from daycare through elementary school age.
We decided to enrol our 2 year old daughter in Bhakta Prahlad Montessori School with some initial hesitation. She was the youngest student of the group, is quite shy and enjoys independent activities.
That hesitation was short lived though. After the first few weeks she was coming home with a new sense of routine, from putting her shoes away in the right spot to washing her hands without prompting. The multiple workstations give the students freedom to choose the activities themselves, which really worked well for our daughter. The older students act as role models to the younger ones, and are able to assist the younger students. The teacher is very nice, and speaks so gently to the students. She does an excellent job of creating a positive, educational environment for all the age groups in the class.
Our daughter was enrolled for two years in the program, and has carried many of the practical skills she learned over to everyday life. We were highly satisfied with our experience at Bhakta Prahlad Montessori School.

My son who is coming up on 2.5 is thriving in this environment. Music time, beautiful toys, wonderfully thought out activities that set him up for his next learning stages, healthy food, neighbourhood walks, the list goes on. He has a new found sense of independence and that he can do things himself. He is excited and proud to walk in the door every morning. And the teachers are so loving and kind and genuinely care about each child. I can't recommend BPMS enough!

Our 2,5 year old daughter started attending the Bhakta Prahlad Montessori School 3 months ago, and we could not be more happy with our decision to send her there. We are constantly amazed with how much she has learned in such a short amount of time. Once, on a walk outside, she picked up a maple leaf and said “This means Canada” and started singing the national anthem! The teachers and staff are so wonderful- You can truly feel their commitment to a warm, nurturing, and fun environment. We also love the variety of different activities that the school offers such as nature walks, judo, yoga, and especially the music. Our daughter is always showing us new judo/yoga poses or singing new songs and rhymes that she has learnt. She cannot wait to go to school every morning, and we look forward to watching her continued development both academically and socially. There are so many positive things I can say about BPMS and both my husband and myself would recommend this school to anyone without hesitation!
